YOUR RADIO IS GATHERING DUST IN A attic?
We'll buy it back. And give it the life it deserves.
You've inherited an old radio set. Your grandparents', or the one your father used to listen to on Sunday mornings with his coffee. It's sitting there somewhere between two boxes, in a garage or at the back of a cupboard.
You can't bring yourself to throw it away. Understandably. These radios have a story - yours, your family's. They were made in an era when things were built to last. Solid wood, bakelite, original acoustic fabric. Nothing like the plastic we're sold today.
The problem, you know it well: the set no longer picks up anything. FM is dying out, long wave has been silent for years. So the radio just sits there. Silent. Gathering dust.
You could list it on a second-hand site. But at what price? And for whom? Most buyers want a decorative piece they'll put on a shelf and never switch on.
There's a better way.
WE BUY YOUR vintage radios
A.bsolument restores vintage radios and modernises them into Bluetooth speakers, by hand, in our workshop in Clermont-Ferrand. We replace the original electronics with a Bluetooth module and a Focal speaker. The cabinet stays intact - that's the whole beauty of it.
Since we started, we've restored over 6,000 radios. Yours could be next.
SEND US A PHOTO
Take a photo of your radio and write to us at hello@a-bsolument.fr. Tell us what you know: brand, era, condition. Even a vague detail helps.
WE ASSESS AND MAKE AN OFFER
We look at the model, its condition, its restoration potential. If your radio interests us, we'll make you an offer. No drawn-out negotiation, just a fair price. You're free to accept or not.
IT COMES BACK TO LIFE
Shipping or collection, we'll arrange it. You get paid, your radio heads to the workshop. A few weeks later, it's streaming Spotify in the living room of someone who chose it with care.
Imagine: in a few months, your old Schneider 1958 is taking pride of place in a Parisian apartment. The dial lights up, Bluetooth connects, and someone listens to Chet Baker through a Focal speaker, wrapped in the warm sound of the original wood. Your radio has found its voice again.
YOU WANT TO sell it?
We'll make you a buy-back offer. You get paid, we take care of the restoration, and your radio finds a new home.
SELL MY RADIOYOU'D RATHER keep it?
We can modernise it for you. We install Bluetooth and a Focal speaker inside, without touching the original cabinet. You get it back, ready to play your music.
MODERNISE MY RADIOEither way, the starting point is the same: a photo and an email to hello@a-bsolument.fr.
WHAT WE'RE looking for
We're selective. We don't buy everything - only sets with character, potential, a certain presence. Here's what catches our eye.
VALVE RADIOS FROM THE 1930s TO 1960s
Philips, Radiola, Schneider, Ducretet-Thomson, Sonora... The great names of the golden age. Solid wood, bakelite, needle dials, original fabrics. This is our speciality and what we love to restore most.
VINTAGE TRANSISTOR RADIOS
The small portable sets of the 1960s and 70s. Especially if the design stands out: pop colours, geometric shapes, something that catches the eye.
BAKELITE SETS
Cracked, yellowed, dusty - that doesn't scare us. Bakelite has a charm nothing can replace. We know how to bring it back to its best.
BOOMBOXES AND RADIO RECORDERS
The ghettoblasters of the 1980s. JVC, Sharp, Panasonic. The bigger the better. These machines have a look you simply can't make any more.
Not sure your radio interests us? Send a photo anyway. The assessment is free, with no obligation. The worst that can happen: we say no, and you've lost nothing.
GIVE IT A second chance
Your radio was made to be looked at, touched, listened to. Not to sleep in a box. We can give it all of that back.
One email, one photo. We'll reply within 48 hours.

PS: We receive a lot of enquiries. If you're in doubt, write to us soon - we reply to everyone, but the most sought-after models go into restoration as soon as they arrive.
