On sets from the 1930s to the 1960s, a small green eye opened and closed while you searched for your station. It told you the tuning was right. It has been dark ever since. During modernisation, our craftsmen give it back its glow.

THAT GREEN GAZE that nobody lights any more
The magic eye was the pride of the better sets. You turned the knob slowly, the green fan closed in, and you knew you had the station. It was the only screen in the house.
The original tube gave up long ago. We fit two LEDs behind the existing eye, packed and diffused to bring back that deep green. Nothing is cut, nothing on the front is replaced: your set keeps its face, it simply gets its gaze back.

The LEDs sit behind the existing eye. Your front panel is neither drilled nor altered.

How do I know if my radio has one?
It is a small glazed circle on the front, often above or beside the dial. If you are unsure, add the option: we check at diagnosis and contact you if your set does not have one.
Is it the original tube lighting up again?
No. The period tube has not worked for a long time. We recreate its glow with two LEDs placed behind the eye, without touching the front. The effect is the original one, the technique is today's.
Can I add it later?
Yes, but the set has to be opened again. That is why the option costs so little during modernisation: your radio is already open on the bench.
