This package is designed for vintage radios from the 1930s to 1960s - TSF sets, valve radios, and console radios from that era. If you are unsure whether your model is compatible, please contact us before ordering via our contact page.

The package includes the installation of a Focal® speaker, a 50W analogue amplifier, the preservation of the original knobs for ON/OFF and volume on the front panel, dial backlighting, Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm jack auxiliary input, an RCA subwoofer output, as well as a thorough interior and exterior clean. Return shipping costs are also covered.

Yes - this is one of the great strengths of this package. The original front panel knobs remain fully functional for switching the radio on and adjusting the volume. The dial and its needles are also preserved and backlit, just as they were in their day.

Not directly through the set. After the upgrade, your vintage radio becomes a Bluetooth speaker and loses its original reception functions. You can however connect our FM / DAB+ Module (available as an accessory for 49€) to the jack input to listen to all your FM stations, or stream any radio from your phone.

The cabinetry option allows us to restore the wooden cabinet of your radio - sanding, re-staining, and replacing the fabric. It is carried out by our partner craftsman Joël. The cost is assessed upon receipt of your radio and submitted to you as a quote before any work begins. You are free to accept or decline; only the base package is charged at the time of ordering.

Your radio is fitted with a Focal® speaker - a French brand of worldwide renown - paired with a 50W analogue amplifier. The RCA subwoofer output also allows you to connect a subwoofer for an even more immersive listening experience. The result is on a par with a contemporary high-end speaker, housed within the body of a vintage piece.

Allow approximately 3 to 4 weeks between sending your radio and receiving it back upgraded. If you add the cabinetry option, this timeframe may be slightly extended depending on the condition of the wood. Return shipping costs are covered by A.bsolument.

A detailed packaging guide is sent to you by email after your order. Please follow it carefully - vintage radios from the 1930s to 1960s are fragile and precious pieces. The order summary must also be placed inside the parcel.

Without the cabinetry option, your radio comes back cleaned and refreshed, but in its original state. With the cabinetry option, the wood and fabric are restored to recapture their former glory. In all cases, the aim is to preserve the soul and aesthetic of your vintage piece.

Your upgraded vintage radio is covered by a 5-year parts and labour warranty from the date of receipt. Should you wish to have an update beyond this period, a price will be proposed to you.
